EDGE OF COLLAPSE

CHAPTER 120: EDGE OF COLLAPSE
Your eyes dart across the crumbling landscape, mind racing against time. The bridge's groans are the ominous soundtrack to your frantic search. You scramble over to a nearby pile of debris, sifting through the chaos with adrenaline-fueled urgency. Splintered wood, twisted metal, anything that could serve as a makeshift support, is hastily gathered in your arms.

The survivors’ desperate cries drive you on, their silhouettes just visible on the far side of the canyon. You start dragging the materials to the bridge, heart pounding in your chest like a war drum. Every step feels like a gamble as the structure shudders beneath you.

As you stack the planks and lash them together with frayed rope, a new sound emerges—the unmistakable growl of an engine. You look up to see a battered truck speeding towards you, dust billowing in its wake. The driver, a rugged survivor, shouts over the roar of the engine, offering to help reinforce the bridge or evacuate anyone who can make it to the truck.

With the bridge rapidly deteriorating, you realize time is slipping through your fingers like sand. Reinforcing the structure might hold it long enough for others to cross, but there’s no guarantee. The truck is a wildcard, its potential either salvation or disaster. The canyon below beckons with its silent, dark promise, leaving you with a choice that could change everything.
All Choices That Were Available:
  • 1. Rally the survivors to help reinforce the bridge together. 😇
  • 2. Abandon the bridge and commandeer the truck for a quick escape, leaving the survivors behind. 😈
  • 3. Set off more explosives to create a makeshift bridge from the debris.
  • 4. Use the truck to stabilize the bridge temporarily, allowing some survivors to cross.
