Walking Zombie 2

You rush back toward the rubble, heart pounding against your ribs like a war drum. Each step makes your muscles scream in protest, but the thought of the survivor trapped ignites a fire within you. You claw at the debris with renewed vigor, stone and dirt biting at your fingers. The air is thick with dust, each breath a struggle as you dig deeper, eyes straining against the dim light.

Behind you, the second Abomination roars, a beastly sound that reverberates through the canyon, a reminder that time is slipping away. You shove aside another rock, praying for a miracle, when you spy a flash of movement beneath the rubble. Hope flares—she's alive, fighting against the odds.

“Hold on!” you shout, voice hoarse, as you frantically clear more debris. Her face emerges, pale and dirt-streaked, but determined. Relief washes over you, but there’s no time to celebrate. The ground trembles as the Abomination stalks closer, its eyes glowing with malicious intent.

“Move, now!” you yell, pulling her free just as the beast lunges. You stagger back, narrowly avoiding its massive claw. The exit is blocked, the path cut off by the creature’s bulk, but you can’t give up—not now. As adrenaline courses through your veins, the world narrows to two choices: fight or die.
