Without a second thought, you lunge towards Ace, instinct taking over rationality. You shove him aside with all your strength, the impact sending him sprawling safely out of the tree's trajectory. The tree creaks ominously above you, and the only thing you can do is brace yourself for the inevitable.
The sound of splintering wood fills the air as the tree crashes down, its branches scraping by you with a gut-wrenching whoosh. You throw yourself to the side, just narrowly evading the main trunk. Dirt and debris are launched into the air, blinding you momentarily.
The zombie bear roars again, a sound of primal fury, as the falling tree crashes into its side. It's pinned down, snapping its massive jaws in frustration. But the bear's predicament only temporarily stalls the beast's wrath.
Ace, regaining his balance, rushes over to where you're scrambling to your feet. "You okay?" he shouts, his voice tight with urgency.
You nod, adrenaline pounding in your veins. The bear is still dangerously close, thrashing to free itself from the fallen tree. Time is running out, and you need to act fast.
