ROAR OF THE ABYSS

CHAPTER 344: ROAR OF THE ABYSS
With the roaring flames licking ever closer, you summon every bit of lunacy you can muster. "Roarrr!" you bellow, your voice echoing through the forest. Ace throws you a bewildered glance, but you press on, imitating the growl of a larger bear with an exaggerated fervor.

Astonishingly, the bear's ears twitch, its head swinging towards the forest, eyes scanning for this phantom rival. For a brief, miraculous moment, it hesitates, torn between the imagined threat and the immediate one. You seize the opportunity, adrenaline surging through your veins.

"Now, Ace!" you shout, your voice barely cutting through the crackle of burning wood. Together, you dash past the distracted beast, each step propelling you away from the suffocating heat.

Just as you think you've made a clean escape, a flaming branch crashes down, blocking your path. Panic grips you as the fire encircles, the bear close behind, now agitated and confused by the noise and fire.

The ground beneath you trembles violently, a reminder that nature's fury is as unpredictable as your luck. The flames are relentless, threatening to consume everything, including your last shred of sanity. As the inferno rages, you must make a choice—desperation clawing at your resolve.
All Choices That Were Available:
  • 1. Offer your last water bottle to douse the flames and create a path for everyone to escape.
  • 2. Shove Ace towards the bear as a distraction and make a run for it yourself.
  • 3. Climb a nearby tree to escape the flames and hope the bear doesn't follow.
  • 4. Try to negotiate with Ace to come up with a quick plan before it's too late.
